Quickest way to save short clips from large MPG?

Post by kirtley »

Dear all,

I'm a new user and I don't really want to learn all the facilities of Vidoe Studio (I am working Germany and can't understand the menus). I just want to chop out various short (about 3 second) clips from large (1Gb) MPG-2 files. I know the start and end times of each clip. Can anyone suggest the easiest and quickest way to do this?

Thanks very much!

OK - I have successfully made a clip. Now, how the heck do I save it???

I can save the project, but there doesn't seem to be any way to save the video!

Go to Share > Create Video.

This may help.

Sorry again - I figure it out now! It's called Ausgaben in German :-)

Sorry - still struggling, but nearly there!

Now my problem is that when I have finished MultiTrim and hit OK, it joins all the clips together. I want them separate! How do I stop it joining them together?

I promise this will be the last question...

Hi

After using Multi Trim all the required clips are placed in the timeline as virtual clips.
Go to Storyboard View. Here you will view as individual clips.

Select a clip in the timeline then select ¡¥Clip-Save Trimmed Video¡¦
This will render the trimmed clip to a new video file using the same properties.
The file will be saved to the ¡¥working folder¡¦¡K. a thumbnail of the file being placed in the library.

Hope this Helps
