Thanks for your advice I was able to load VS11+.
I have another problem now.
When using my general profile in XP I can access VS11+.
When I use my editing profile I can not access VS11+ and get the following error message -
The service can not be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled device associated with it.
I may have made a mistake when tweaking XP Pro.
Is there a simple solution to fix this?
Error message when opening VS11+

General Profile? Editing Profile? are you refering to your user account?
If you are, then your editing profile/account doesn't have administrative privelages. (similar with Guest Account)
You can change the the account type of your editing profile in Control Panel > User Accounts > Edit an Account
But if you are not referring to the user accounts in hte first place. Just ignore my suggestions. Thank you for reading it anyway. =P

The first place to check is the Windows Event Log for error messages:
START | RUN dialog box
%SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc /s
and press enter.
Now check the following two folders
Application
System
You will find a red circle with a white cross inside. Now recheck the settings you have made in services.msc

When you set up your editing profile, you apparently disabled some service(s), that VS needs to run. Go back through Steve's tutorial on Creating a Video Editing Profile, and see if it is similar.
