Can the initial zoom value be 100% instead of 102% ?

The tops of some of my slides are clipped because the default zoom in PP4 is 102%. Is there a way to set the default at 100% (no zoom) ? I know each slide can be changed individually, but that can take hours when there are hundreds of slides in a show.

I haven't used PictureShow for a number of years but where do you get the idea that the zoom range is set to 102%? Any zoom value would only apply to the viewing of your images on the PC. This is not coded into your image and would not have any effect on the images in your slide show. The program will have to resize your images in order to be DVD compliant frame size unless they are that size already.

When you say your images are clipped, is that when viewing your slide show on the TV? There is, what is called the "Overscan" area on any CRT TV. It's usually around 10 to 15% of your full frame video which you can't see because it is covered by the edges of your TV screen. Naturally, any slide you put into a slide show will have the top or the sides clipped, depending on the orientation of your slide. a portrait format will be missing detail at top and bottom whereas landscape images will miss right and left hand detail.

The only way to overcome this is by placing your images onto a 4:3 or 16:9 background (depending on your TV) whereby the image is 10 to 15 % smaller at the longest side. Trial and error will tell you how much your TV's overscan is. Viewing the slide show on a different TV will give a slightly different result.
