What about Norton Antivirus?

Norton Antivirus makes the video editing slow? Is there any idea to close this program while editing?

I have Norton Antivirus turned on all the time, and have not noticed any effect on VS editing speed. There are so many other things that might affect the way VS works for you -- your settings and project properties and computer.

I would start by excluding the capture and working directory from antivirus scans. Also, make sure you aren't low on memory, scanning all files as they are being accessed will have a huge impact on performance if the system is low on memory and swapping to-and-from virtual memory.
