I just got Ulead DVD MovieFactory Version 5 today to make a slideshow with pictures. I loaded all my pictures onto the slideshow, and had the slideshow box, but when I go to play my slideshow none of my pictures show up or most of them anyways. More than 95% of my pictures are in black and white and the other 5% are in color. The color ones show up fine, but the black and white ones never show up. All photos are in a jpg format. Is there something wrong with the black and white photos? The slideshow plays music if I add it into the slide show just no pics show up. When I double click the picture in the slideshow editing to preview the picture all I get is a black box with the editing tabs and things on the side, everything is there except my pictures. THe pictures show up in the slideshow edit part, when I click to add it to the slideshow they just disappear.
Another problem is when I go to uninstall Ulead so I can go and reinstall it again but I keep getting an error code -5001. I can't figure out what to do I am stuck now.
Pictures don't show up

How did you prepare these B+W images? Try to change their attributes to 24 bit RGB color. They will still be B+W but the DVD might show them then. Some players also have problems when the images are saved in "Progressive" mode. If these were saved with the standard PI jpeg settings, they might be progressive since it is the default setting in jpeg options. Set the options to Standard or Standard optimized.

Is yours the full version or did you download the trial version? if you have the trial version, the patch will not work with it. If you have the full version, go to the Ulead website for DVD MovieFactory and get the update patch here http://www.ulead.com/tech/dmf/dmf.htm
Where did your images come from? How do you prepare them for the slide show? What format are they in? Do you have an image editing program?wow911 wrote:....

I have the full version, and I downloaded the updates and installed them so those are in now. For the pictures thay came from a CD, I copied all the pictures from the cd on to my hardrive and now they are on my desktop in a folder. They are in jpeg format. I don't have a photoediting program like photoshop or nothing.

What are the image sizes in pixels wide by pixels high? What is your TV standard, NTSC or PAL?
Create the DVD on the HDD by deselecting the "Burn to disc" option and select the DVD folder option. Once done, play the DVD on the PC in a software DVD player like WinDVD or similar. If the pictures don't show there, we have a problem, if they do show and all is well, you can burn the DVD folders from your HDD onto a DVD blank.
