Video TS Files

Post by Gra »

Hi guys

I have an old VHS video that I've just transferred to DVD (on a VHS/ DVD combi recorder-player) with the intention of using some of the scenes in a MSP8 project. The files that the VHS has transferred to DVD are 'video RM' and 'video TS' and neither show up as an importable file for video editor.

Is there a way of transferring these files or converting them so I can use them?
Thanks & regards.

Try changing the Capture PLugin to Import from DVD. This will pull the mpeg files in from the VOB files in those folders...

Thanks guys, that's great and captured via the DVD plug-in!

Out of interest, Steve, is there an equivalent import facility in MSP8 as there is in VS info you provided? I had a quick look at the controls in case I overlooked it.
Thanks & regards.

Of course there is, use the Import DVD Plug-in in Video Capture.

Oops, sorry I was answering several different queries from users and missed the forum I was in at that time. The link I gave was of course for VideoStudio and not MediaStudio.

As Devil and GeorgeW have both pointed out you have to change the capture plug in. After doing so the procedure is very similar to the one in the VideoStudio program.
