I have just upgrded to VS11 from VS7 SE I am afraid I did not even quite understand the first version let alone the new one, but I am slowly learning. My problem is this, I am trying to convert standard VHS tapes to DVDs. Now when I used VS7 the problem I had was a "dragging" effect once the video was burned to the disc. VS11 has seemed to remedied that (not sure how though) but now I am having the problem of when I try to capture the exact same VHS video it captures about 1 minute of the video and then tells me that it can no longer capture because the video is copywrited!?! The videos are of a festival that is taken on a standard camcorder. The gentleman then edits it with some kind of video editer and then creates copies to sell. It's all done in Mexico as the festivals are in Mexico. As I stated before with VS7 se I never had this problem, and yet I captured the same exact video from the same exact VHS tape. Any idea as to why it would trigger this in VS11 and how I can get around it? I have fairly good understanding of computers but I feel I am way over my head with this software
And I am hoping I didn't just waste my money.
