The "Add title Menu' is only active to de-select if you only have one video on the timeline along with chapters. This is so you can create a menu where the first page displays all the chapters.
You create chapters for your videos in the 1st screen. When you create the chapters in the first screen this is carried into the 2nd screen menu creation step.
To access the chapter menus is a dropdown box directly below the video screen. This is how you toggle between the menus.
You cannot manually create menus & sub-menus in the menu creation screen. You can customize or manipulate them.

I guess this was your question, not sure. Load only 1 video & create chapters and see the options in the menu screens. Then load 2 videos on the timeline, create chapters and go into the menuing screen. You will see how this works differently depending on how many videos you have loaded on the timeline.

MF 6 unable to display/create sub menus

Post by robert gray »

1)On the opening window I select Video slide show disc>new slide show

2)project Window changes to (Step 1/3) I select add slide show (create menu is ticked on)

3) I add one slide show and click auto select chapters every 6 frames (total time 6 minutes for slideshow) and click ok

4) This brings me to back(Step 1/3) with a slide show added I click NEXT and it takes me to (Step 2/3) with the menu selection box. I choose from thumbnails menu #B12 and then click the edit folder.

I want the sub chapters i created in step 3 to display

5) I click on Advanced settings (as per the instructions in the HELP section) and the option to create chapter menus does not display.

What am i doing wrong?

Your not doing anything wrong.
When making slideshows it appears that the program can't generate a chapter menu using the slides because it's not a video yet.
If you continued to created a dvd in the module your presently working in then you would not have a chapter screen but would be able to use the remote control and jump through the chapters.

To create a menu chaptering screen:
If you go back to step 1 and while in the standard timeline right_click on your slideshow thumbnail and select "Export Video -> Fast Export DVD Compliant Video". Save the slideshow to a video file to use later in the next step. Save the project

Start from the MF6 Launcher and select "Video/Slideshow Disc -> New Video Project". Goto "Preferences" - Hit F6 (hotkey) and set "Resample quality = Best"
Then click on the 2nd icon from the top left (add media) and load the video you previously exported. Then click on Add/Edit Chapters and make your chapters. When you get to the menu creation stage then the menu's will work as I had previously posted.

I think it's easier to just use the Video module and select the "Create Slideshow Icon" instead of the "Slideshow Only" module.

Yes, at least as far as I can tell the program doesn't create the chapter menus from the slideshow. Although it does create chapters in the video for use on the dvd. So the only way I see possible is to first make a video of the slideshow.
