I have recorded a HDTV stream in native mpeg format. I can watch it in windows media player and winamp fine, but when I preview it in videostudio I get no audio. I have the full version of Videostudio 11 (upgrade from 8SE) and have installed AC3 filter.

AC3 details

Can you tell us exactly why you installed AC3 filter? Did VS11's native capacity to handle Dolby surround (if that is the audio format you are capturing) not work?

Can you also advise whether you have VS11 or VS11+...

I have VS11+

The audio to the track isn't being recognised by VS, I got the details from winamp. VS just has the audio as "none". I thought that maybe there was some aspect of the audio stream that VS wasn't handling properly, so I installed AC filter based on recommendations in this forum for previous versions of VS.
