Hello All,
I'm brand spankin new to using VideoStudio, so bear with me.
Here's the series of events that brought me here.
1. Purchased VideoStudio 11 through the main Website, and downloaded the product along with ContentPack.
2. Using the provided Serial Key, installed the software and started using it.
3. Discovered for the needs of my Project, I would be better suited to have the enhancements included in VideoStudio11+ (Overlaying Tracks, Dolby Sound, etc), and went back to the website.
4. Purchased and Downloaded VideoStudio 11+ along with it's Bonus CD and ContentPack.
5. Attempted to Install the upgrade, which first made me completely uninstall the VideoStudio 11 that was already on my machine.
6. Once the uninstall completed, I re-ran the install, and this time it started setup. It asked for my new Serial Key, which I entered, and it recognized as an Upgrade Serial Key.
7. Setup then asked me for my previous version's Serial Key, at which time I provided the Serial Key I received with VideoStudio 11.
8. At this point, the following message came up:
"The serial number you entered is not correct. For Ulead VideoStudio 11, you only can upgrade from the following:" and then proceeded to list versions from 10 down, but no 11.
I am currently at a standstill, as I can't afford to purchase the products again, but see no reason why the Serial from the Standard version of VideoStudio 11 does not work for upgrading to VideoStudio 11+.
If anyone has had any similar problems, or can point me to a solution, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Scott (S2C)

I guess that Ulead didn't take into account that customers like yourself would wish to upgrade from 11 standard to 11 +.

Hi,
I'm just thinking:
Since this was a recent purchase through element 5 website maybe you should contact element 5 and void/cancel both your orders (which will refund both charges). Then purchase VS11+ full retail ESD. VS11+ is advertised along with another program for $129, if you only want VS11+ then it's $99 (you can change this when checking out).
When you purchase ulead ESD software the credit bill says element 5.
Element 5 is the company that distributes the software electronically for ulead.
When you purchased VS you should have made an account username and password for the element 5 website. (Not the same as the ulead users account to register the software).
I would use this username & password on the element 5 website to adjust your purchases and ask for refund/exchanges and all.
Good luck.
