This is the worst programme I ever had!!!!!

Post by ott598487 »

Starting from the awesome registration process which needs a patch to get the activation done. Going on with this Intervideo Information Tool where nobody knows what data is being spied for. Then blocking lots of RAM. And finally: this programme does not even work!!!!! It does not get beyond the splash screen and then freezes not only itself but my whole computer. And all for $$$$.

DVD8 PLATINUM IS A COMPLETE FAILURE AND MONEY THROWN OUT OF THE WINDOW!!!!!

Sorry to say this - but it is the truth. Best regards - a very angry user.

OS: WinXP Pro SP 2 + all curent updates
Motherboard Asus A7N8X-E deluxe
Processor AMD Athlon XP 2800+
Memory 1 GB
Video Card MSI with nVidia 6600 GT
Soundcard onboard
HDD Capacity 900 GB

After having solved this disgusting activation matter (I can't hardly believe that programmers fail already with the task to activate the programm itself - I should have been warned) the programme worked relatively well for some time.

When I started it again a few days ago, it froze my whole computer, displaying just the splash screen. You could not even close it via the task manager, and even after log out/log in it had not been closed but was still in the resident in the background displaying the splash screen as some kind of a shadow on the desktop. The computer was still in a freeze. Nothing helped: several uninstall/ re-install sessions including manual deletions in the registry (as proposed by you in another thread).
