Sound becomes scratchy white noise after editing video

Post by sreinschmidt »

VideoStudio 11 Plus
46MB .MOV file from Olympus C-7000 camera
HP Pavilion AMD Athalon 64 bit dual core 2.5 GHz
4 GB of DDR2 memory
Windows Vista OS
Visiontek Radeon X1600 512MB video card

I open the file in VideoStudio 11 Plus and have no problem viewing and hearing the file. If I do any editing such as a simple trim, the audio becomes a scratchy white noise.

Any ideas on how to debug this?

Welcome to the forums,

Take a look at this thread. It mentions that the fix is for Kodak P880 cameras, however may also work for you.

Thanks videoman! I followed the thread, downloaded MP4Cam2AVI for free and converted the file to AVI and now it works fine. Thanks for the help.
