WinDVD BD for Sony VAIO VGN-AR290G Vista Won't Play Blu-Ray

Hi All,

Newbie here. I installed the Vista WinDVD BD 5-21-07 8.0.8.100 update from Sony (file name ITAOTH-01523801-US.EXE) on my VAIO VGN-290G on 5-22-07 with Vista Home Premium. It played Blu-ray discs the first day and thereafter it will not. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the update but all I get is the WinDVD BD for VAIO screen. Nothing happens when I select the play button. Oddly enough, I can play regular DVDs in this software. Is it confused?
