Just installed VS11+ and will not open

I have just installed my new version as was using the trial version and bought the box package at the tradeshow in Sydney. When I get into opening videostudio editor it comes up with the following message. The application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Contact support team etc.

I had this problem before and just use to run with different credentials box ticked and all worked fine but now that does not work.

Did you remove the trial version first. Installing over the trial version could cause conflicts.

I just loaded VideoStudio 11 - and instead of opening it keeps telling me the problem is 0xc0000034.

Suggestions please.
