VS8SE - Burning error message

Post by aiognim »

Hello everybody. I have a big problem and I hope you will be able to help me. I'm using VS8SE for the first time and when I'm trying to burn a DVD, I always have the following Error message: DDVDR-INC-SPTI-2A-02-05-30-05 [93006:1:0]...
It seems other users had same kind of problem, but I can't find the solution...
Thank you in advance.

The SE at the end of your VS8 version indicated that it is a 'Special Edition' and was obtained either from a computer magazine or came 'free' with a piece of hardware such as a camcorder, scanner, firewire card etc.

The SE versions are somewhat similar to trial versions in that they have limited content and limited functions. These limitations vary according to the supplier of that version. Many SE versions do not include the ability to burn to a DVD disc and only allow burning to a CD in VCD or SVCD formats.

You need to check the documentation that came with your version of the software to see if it includes burning to DVD format.

Thank you for your answer. I had the VS8 with my computer pack. Again it really seems I have the full version as everything operates perfectly, from the menu creator until the "DVD creation" (video conversion etc.) it's only stop when it finally test or try to burn the DVD that I have the specified error message... Again, I read in other forums that some previous version such as VS7 etc, but they don't give any answer. Does [93006:1:0] means something?

I think with VS8 SE that it actually had to include 'DVD' in the title (i.e. VS8 SE DVD) to have the capacity to burn a DVD...

The following is taken from VideoHelp.com
It was written by one of our forum members Jerry Jones who is a former Consultant for Ulead.

1. Download/install the "CD/DVD Burning Patch Update" found near the bottom of the Web page at the following link:

http://www.ulead.com/tech/dmf/dmf_ftp.htm

This should address the [93006:1:0] error, which usually suggests a new drive is being utilized that requires the compatibility update.

2. You can click the second button in the lower left corner of your DVD MovieFactory interface to gain access to the PROJECT SETTINGS.

- Click the button;

- After the PROJECT SETTINGS pop-up menu appears, check the DO NOT CONVERT COMPLIANT FILES check box IF YOUR SOURCE MEDIA IS DVD COMPLIANT;

- Click the CHANGE MPEG SETTINGS button;

- After the small pop-up menu appears click the CUSTOMIZE option;

- After the VIDEO SAVE OPTIONS pop-up menu appears, click the GENERAL and COMPRESSION tabs to adjust your project settings to precisely match the properties of your source video/audio;

- Click the OK buttons to accept the settings;

- Try burning the disc.

I've explained how to do this in the tutorial at the following link:

Hope this helps,

Jerry Jones
