I have been attempting fading in and out text without success.
I have been titling and ending a video and would like to fade in the title and then fade it out to scene and at the end of the video fade in and out on the word finish.
Can anybody give me any pointers as the normal fade out has no equivalent fade in and doesn't appear to work at the end of the video anyway.
Many thanks, Roy.

The easiest way to do it would to select the title clip, and then go to overlay, and then using keyframes, adjust the opacity and the start and finish of the clip.

Hi Troppo,
Back again I'm afraid.
I've tried your suggestion and come unstuck. I'm using VS 11 and find that I have to use a filter to enable using Key Frames. Unfortunately I can't find a filter that contains opacity. I guess that I must be missing something. I'm new to editing and would appreciate an idiots guide to doing as you suggest.
Hoping you can help me further.
Thanks in anticipation, Roy.

Sorry Roy, I've never used VS11.
Try posting in the VS forum.
