studio 11+

I have just puchased Studio 11+ having used studio 8 and movie factory 3.5 previously.
I have found it both a dream and pain to use.
In doing text in Menus there isn't any justification options
Buring has resulted in not being able to view on our DVD player bt opperates in PC and Laptop as well as daughters DVD player. Tried diferent media all which have worked when burnt under previous versions and many different players.
In settings for copright you can not use space bar, but only creat new line.
Transitions are throughing out voice sync.

I am impressed and looking forward to release for fixes to what i see may be irritating problems.

Some DVD players can't play "burned" DVDs at all. Some work with DVD-R but not DVD+R, or vice-versa, some can't play dual-layer burned DVDs. If you don't know what the player will play, your odds are best with DVD-R.

The curent rumor is that most of the new super-cheap players will "play anything". But, I suspect the same is true for most new expensive players too.

If you are joining MPEG files with transitions, you may need a special-purpose MPEG editor, such as Womble.

DVD Burning/Playback problems
Unfortunatley none of this is of any use to the matter at hand as stated..

If read it states that I have burnt using the same media used the same player same burner. only thing different is the software.

So in my train of building a house it has to be the problem with ULEAD 11

The only other consideration is the burning speed. Don't know if you manually set the burning speed in previous versions or not, if you usually leave it at maximun maybe trying 4X in VS11+ will work.

When I encounter this type of problem I'l either create dvd folders or an iso image file and burn as a separate process.
I usually create dvd folders on the harddisk, test the dvd playing from the harddisk, then use Nero to burn the dvd as a separate process.
Even burning with Nero I'll set the burn speed manually to 4X.

I agree with this matter but when Ulead wont let you choose any lower than 16x it has to be a fault with Ulead 11+.
It did rectify its self back to being able to burn at 4x after a shut down restart. This didn't fix the play problem on one stand alone DVD player though.

on another matter

I have just opened a movie I had been working on pre-new install, and Ulead 11+ and Movie factory 6 has upgraded over the old softwear.
When it opens the file its complete. I can not work on it and it was 2/3 complete, transitions usless, music voice over all combined into on file.
Looks like I will have to start all over again to produce the DVD.
Not a Happy Chappy.
Will be contacting Ulead to see if they cen help.

If you installed MF6+ AFTER VS11+ could be a slight problem maybe.
Can you re-install VS11+ again? I don't know if using a trial version whether VS11+ could be re-installed or repaired.

I would agree with you that there is something is up with this, looks like VS11+ is reading the spec's of the dvd media/drive incorrectly (or other software is interfering with VS11+ trying to read the dvd drive).
Only guessing but I would think this is the reason why VS8 works & VS11+ doesn't work. In VS8 you can probably drop the burn speed down to 4X.
Even when these programs say "Maximum" then what is the Maximum setting the program has selected to burn the dvd at.

Sounds like a conflict somewhere's or the actual program but I would try to re-install VS11+ again to refresh files that MF6+ installs if MF6+ was installed after VS11+.
