Hi,
I am having great trouble in getting DVDWS 2 with all the latest packs to burn. My sytem details are here and I am producing a ntsc dvd with mpeg2, avi and rgb images. I have read and searched the knolwedge base.
Previously I have saved the project as another file, opened the renamed file and it burned ok although the original still didnt.
Now this doesnt even work and I am getting fed up with it.
The error code on the crash is:
AppName: dvdws.exe AppVer: 2.0.0.2 ModName: godmenudll.dll
ModVer: 2.0.0.2 Offset: 0001c0f2
Any ideas PLEASE???
DVDWS crashes when trying to burn project
Try burning to DVD Folders on your hard drive first. Then in a separate step, but the DVD Folders (or Image file) to disc.
Do you have any menu audio, or other audio assets that are .mp3? If so, convert them first to 48khz .wav files -- sometimes *.mp3's can cause problems...
Another problem comes up with divx or xvid .avi's -- do you have any of those in your projects?
Regards,
George

George,
Thanks again. I am trying to burn DVD folders as they have to be IFO edited for 16:9, hence the problem.
Noting unusual in the files, the audio is wav, all othe files except an avi are mpeg 2 one of which was bitrate downsampled to what DVDWS said it was happy with. Will convert the avi as you suggest
One Div X movie was converted to mpeg, but this was not a problem on any of the test dvd folders generated until I dropped the last menu in.
This is a small project of about 980Mb so I cant fathom the problem. After many hours I did a save as including all files and it worked as a dvd folder save - but still it should be better than this shoudlnt it???
thanks again
