I'm rolling my end credits using a text box animated with the "fly" rolling upward. I want the last few names at the end of the credits to dissolve out once they've finished playing before they reach the top of the screen. Is there a way to add an effect to text the same way as would be done to a video clip? Thx.

One way to do this is to prepare the title in the normal manner and save it as a VideoStudio project file.
You can then treat that VideoStudio project file in the same way as a rendered video. This means that you can place the project file on the timeline and apply a transition to it like any other clip. so you would place a black color clip after the VSP containing your end credit and apply a crossfade transition.
