Hi

My name's Dave and I live in Australia. I'm 53 years old and retired. Currently I live with my wfe and am interested in movies, video encoding as well as burning etc so I purchased VideoStudio as well as Win DVD.

I joined mainly to try and find out more about these subjects and the products I own. Have read many posts and found them quite helpful.

Regards

Dave

Hi...I'm James. I am a VideoStudio X2 and PhotoImpact X3 user. I'm 44 and I'm interested in video editing and learning how to do interesting things like chromakey.I have a JVC everio hdd cam and I'm really enjoying the whole process.I think it's great that this forum exists to make things a little easier when we need help. The fact that a person can sit there and edit his/her own video, in thier own home, is so cool. 8)

Hi, I'm Rick Jones, I've been registered on this forum for ages, but likewise haven't been active for ages either!

I've used MediaStudio for over 10 years, though not so frequently now as I used to (don't shoot so much video!). I also wrote an e-book tutorial for MSP - 3 editions covering versions 5, 6, & 7. I didn't update it for 8 as my interest in video was waning, and I wasn't selling enough copies to make it worthwhile :( .

Just posting after getting a "wake-up" email, seems you guys having been having spam problems. I know what it's like, I admin one of these boards for a club, and you have to be quite devious to block the b*****ds bots from auto-registering. 8)

Cheers, Rick Jones

I just received an email from SJJ saying I should post within 24 hours, presumably part of a clear out of inactive posters so here is my intro:

I'm Brian, 50 something and living on the west coast of Wales, UK.

I'm involved in the electronic side of television and video more than production but I do use MSP8, DVD WS2 and PI12 for web and DVD output.
I'm involved with the British Amateur Television Club which despite its name is a Worldwide organization and have my own video streaming channel on their web site.

I run a web site for video hobbyists, if a plug is permitted at http://www.atv-projects.com which has technical articles and some video home construction projects.

I started with Ulead at MSP version 2.5 many years ago and have all the versions of most Ulead projects since then. I'm a bit disillusioned at the way things are going with Corel but still find MSP8 the best editor around at the moment.

I have several cameras but use my trusty old TRV900E most of the time.
Brian.

Hello Everyone,

I'm Lisa, 25 ( I wish), from Michigan.

I have been using Corel Draw on and off for about 20 years. I also use PaintShop Pro and Photo Impact.

I'm not really active on the forums as far as posting but I read them all the time.

Thanks everyone for all your help in the past and for answering any questions I may have in the future.

Hi, I'm Will from Kentucky and I've been using DVD MovieFactory for several years now. I've looked at some other products, but they've all been a bit cumbersome to use, plus I like the fact that MovieFactory integrates into Nero for burning.
