I have been using Sony Vegas 8 Pro
Anyone using both of these softwares? What do you think? Any good training on 11.5?

Re: New user intro
If you haven't done so already, please post your VS specific problems in the VS forum where they will surely get more views, and you more answers.simont1952 wrote:Hi,
I am from Malvern in the UK.
I have only recently entered the world of Video with the purchase of a Panasonic HDC-SD9.
Now I face the challenge of actually doing something with the output!
I have identfied VideoStudio 11.5 plus as my only current option, but- it does not run on my massively powered and memoried system!
Currently I transform my output using VoltaicHD and then use Windows Movie Maker to edit it (Yes! that much of a newbie).
I will be following all posts about the rogress of AVCHD file editing with interest.

Intro Tutorial
Hi Jeff,
I want to fade out the last clip in my movie...and I can't seem to do that.
I see where do fade down the audio...I don't want the clip to just end.
Where can I find a basic/intro tutorial?

You can find tutorials in our VideoStudio Product Tutorials forum.
Simply to fade out the last clip, place a black color clip after your last video clip. Then add either a cross-fade or Fade to Black transition between them.

My Intro
I was suggested to introduce myself into this thread. Thanks to Steve, one of the moderators/Admins here, I wasn't aware that it was required and had a little trouble with registration earlier.
My name is Bruce, and I'm a new blogger going by the name, VideoStylist. I've been using Video Studio for years now and it's the only video editing program that I am most comfortable with using. I discovered this form through a search when I needed help after purchasing Media Pro 8 with a Windows Vista. Steve's expert tutorial helped me with that as I also discovered a tutorial contest here as well. And that's why I decided to join. I wanted to contribute back to this community with what I've learned over the years using VideoStudio by joining in on the contest. So you guys should expect to see more of me very soon. Thanks for all your help so far to the members who've helped, and WELCOME to those who are new here, like me.

Welcome to the forums Kristal2255,
Well we can't provide an answer to questions that are not asked..
Just post your question(s) in the forum corresponding to the program. Don't worry about if you think the question would appear simple or elementary. To you it is not so we will make every effort to provide a solution. Please don't be embarrassed, we all started out the same as you. The only difference is time spent using the programs..
On the index page page of the web board you will see all the different forums for Ulead/Intervideo (now Corel) applications. Index Page
So if you're having problems with VideoStudio post in the VideoStudio Forum, problems with say PhotoImpact are handled in the PhotoImpact Forum and so on..

Third time is a charm?
Well, after having one ID deleted after a week (only made one post) and one deleted after just signing up yesterday, I'm back. And this is not my preferred user name, but I guess it will have to do.
I live in Southern California and every year a bunch of my friends meet up at Disneyland in Anaheim and take lots of pictures of videos and a few years back, I took it upon myself to be the archivest and now I produce DVDs that I send to everyone who was there.
I used the Sonic software for the previous years and wanted to try something new. I've had VS on my computer for quite a while and upgraded to 11+ last week (as a matter of fact, my first and only post, which was removed, by the way, was about re-installing the Boris F/X that came with V6).
So, here I am, posting and am sure I'll learn quite a lot from these boards and if I ever become proficient enough at using them, will do what I can to help other noobs.

Oh, I also should have mentioned that I'm in my mid-fifties and very cranky at times, although it's usually aimed at my husband, bless his heart.
