I'm totally new within tis forum and I am only trying to understand how Corel Video Studio X9 works for the moment I'm downloading the trial version to see how I will deal with it but I do intend to buy the product although I have queires , is the price that I'll be paying conceds the ownership of the software or is it something that I will to be paying for the rest of life like Adobe Pro products?

First off, Corel does not have annual subscriptions like Adobe does for its products. When you buy a version of Video Studio, you own that version. But Corel produces a new version of the product every year, and you have to buy that if you want to upgrade. But you still fully own the version you already bought, and you don't need to upgrade if you are satisfied with the version you bought.

Just be aware, though, that the trial version you are downloading has been severely crippled by Corel. Many of its functions and formats don't work. We tried to tell Corel that this would discourage potential buyers of the program, rather than encourage them. But Corel refused to listen.

You can, however, buy the full version to try out all its functions. And if you don't like it, you can get a full refund within 30 days.

This is a reply on this forum to introduce myself, even though the responses are at least 9 years old (I'm usually late to the party). My name is Rich, I'm new to the forum, although I've been a "lurker" for years. I'm 66 yrs old, live in Northern Indiana, US. I am married with no children for over twenty years. I am a veteran - ex tank commander in the Army, I worked for over 39 years in manufacturing building wheeled tactical vehicles including the Humvees. I am a certified Microsoft administrator and still, even though I'm retired, I do a bit of computer network and server work. I have been a professional photographer and still enjoy it, I also do DCC (Digital Content Creation) and use Video studio to put my creations together. I enjoy travel and used to downhill ski a lot, all over the world I've backpacked and mountain climbed. I generally use Video Studio to assemble vacation clips for me and my wife to enjoy. Looking forward to learning how to get better at what I do.
