Hello I have been a member for a long time. This morning I recieved an e-mail saying "application to become a member of the Corel User to User Web Board has been approved on a provisional basis. To become a full member you must post at least one item within 24 hours of approval having been made." So here is my post
Hello all. I'm new to the group. I am married and live in Arizona. I am retired Civil Service. I've enjoyed photography since I was a teenager, primarily outdoor photography.
I've been using Paint Shop Pro since around 1996 and recently upgraded from X2 to X3. With X3, I'm having the worse experience of any PSP release ever; it keeps crashing on me. Found this forum in my search for solutions. It is reassuring just to find out here that I'm not the only one experiencing problems! But, of course, I'll be a lot happier when I see an update available for download from Corel, fixing the problems.
I've had many digital cameras over the years, but earlier this month I bought my first DSLR, the Canon EOS 7D. Along with that, I'm also just starting to shoot in RAW format for the first time.
See ya in the PaintShop Photo Pro forum!
Bev

Greetings!
Greetings to all. My name is Elizabeth and I am a grandmother and newlywed. Nice to meet all of you!
Some information about Radeon.
Hello.
Radeon is used for graphic cards, but as I appreciate my private life...
It's allright as it is only a username.
I am 52 (2010), married with 2 daugthers, and live in a small town in France.
I am working for printers, and have some knowledge in computers, color management ... and some more.
I am a new Corel user (VideoStudio Pro X3).
There's really valuable information in this forum.
If for some reason I shall stop using this forum, I shall edit this message to say good bye.
But today, I feel like a newbie, and know I cannot read all messages.
So many things to learn !
Thank you to all those of you who spend time here to answer to others.

Hello to all. I am Michael and I live in Saskatchewan Canada. I aam 60 years old and just recently purchased a Canon HG10 camcorder and wanted an effective and easy program to be able to edit, copy, etc. my videos. I have never used an editing software so I am looking forward to learning as I go using tutorials, and this forum as my base camp. Thanking all of you in advance for your assitance and guidance in this new area of my expanding universe.

Introducing Russ from SoCal
Greetings all,
Found X2 and was pretty happy with it. Missed what I came to learn were called "moving paths." The workaround for blurring faces or license plates was just a chore. The original frame would basically show through the overlay with just a little bit of blurring, no matter what I did to the overlay.
In the X3 trial, that was the first thing I did, of course. Works like a charm, so far. Based on other posts, I get the idea I could/should be using the new PiP filter, but this works just like I think it should. Way to go Corel.
Now if I can just figure out how to make the filter options stay on the screen. Every time I click away from a particular clip segment, the options roll down so the next time I want to tweak them I have to click the Options button again. Annoying. I would expect that any time I select a clip that has a filter, the options would appear. Is there a deep mojo configuration I can set to fix this annoyance?
Otherwise, howdy all.

Hello everyone,
I just joined the Corel Forum a couple of days ago to troubleshoot some difficulty in capturing my DV. But something else came up and for now no time to look for an answer. But soon I'll be around. I use VideoStudio X2 PRO and I live in the Netherlands.

Just got confirmed here yesterday & have been using PSP for years, but fairly new to the video stuff. Converted many years' worth of VHS home movies to digital over the winter and am now trying to put them in some semblance of order.
I also have been tasked with putting together some training videos for my job and hope that VS X3 can do the trick. I have some questions (how-to's) that I'll post later on, but right now I'm trying to navigate my way through this stuff.
So, I'll lurk a bit and try to find what I need and post when I have a brick wall or something to add.
Have a great day!

Hello everyone from newbie
AAAhhhh finally, I can post!!!! really glad!
I recently bought VSPx3 but have yet to receive it. Currently, in my new HP DV6 2150us I have a trial version. Can anyone tell me if I need to UNISTALL the trial version before installing the full box version?
I was/am a MS7 user and love it, but my pc has gotten so slow making it necessary for me to get the said notebook with W7.
Lastly, wish list... I miss the moving paths in MS7. Thanks in advance for your reply(ies).

Since you are getting the boxed version then yes, uninstall the trial first.
Sinced you trialed X3 I assume you saw the new PiP filter. That is supposed to replace the moving path effect you refer to.

Greetings from Toronto
Hello everyone,
50-retired teacher
I have a fondness for charities and have been making short film clips for them a few as a volunteer. I am new to Corel and currently working using WideoStudio Prox x2 and x3. I like some features of x2 and others from x3.
I will post again shortly, as I am having trouble with final video quality which I did not have before - I'm trying out a few options before I ask for help.

Re: Introduce yourself to other members in this thread.
Been using psp for 15 years. Nice to see a forum for x3. I had a question last week but by the time I was approved I had found another solution.
