I'm from York, Pa. and a virgin to video software. I was turned on to VS from a friend, and have to say, with my limited experience and knowledge haven't regretted the purchase.
I have more questions then answers, so please bear with me. So far, I have been able to find answers to the majority of my questions, but there is some terminolgy and (what I believe) is basic edit procedures I may ask assistance for.

So, for now, back to the search button............

Yeah - I've been spending quite a bit of time in that section so far Steve - thanks for the heads-up!!

Now to confuse things for a few seconds - please delete the Greg Zeigler account. This was the original application profile that was submitted (Zig), The one created for (Greg Zeigler) was simply an email sent because I didn't know if the (Zig) registration went through.

Clear as mud?

Hi to everyone,
My name is Tastlema... actually my little shih tzu dog's name is Tastle and since I am his ma....
I live in Ky, retired, married 50 years and have 2 grown sons.
I began using PI with V5 and did not upgrade until recently.
I am sorry to know they are discontinuing it. I am still learning to use
this as well as PhotoShop Elements 7. I love photography and want to
learn how to process them to make them the best they can be.
I really liked the frame making feature in V5 and was sorry to learn they
had somewhere between V5 and X3 left it out...
Until later....Tastlema

Hullo, everybody.

I am Brian and I live at Bligh Park, Sydney, Australia. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Metallurgy, but I spent the last thirty years of work in Sales/Marketing and Business Management. I retired in 2002.

I started working with computers in the 1970’s with an IBM mainframe housed in a large, air-conditioned room. When my two sons were young, we bought an Atari in the early 1980’s, on which we learnt to write simple programmes. Later we progressed to a Commodore 64 with a 5.25 inch disk drive and 1084S monitor. This was followed by a 128 and finally an Amiga 3000, which combined with a genlock, allowed me the start in video editing.

I had bought my first video camera, a Sony TR323 Handycam, so I needed to be able to transfer the video onto ½ inch tape, using a Sony editing VCR, using the Amiga 3000.

When Amiga lost their way, I purchased a PC and added a DPS Edit Bay board with Video Action software to do my video work. This was a great piece of hardware for it’s time, but the company “folded”, so the software was not updated after Windows 98.

I started using VideoStudio 6SE, which came with some hardware I bought. I have updated with VideoStudi 9, then 11 and now I am using X2 Pro.

Since I retired, my main interests are our grand-children, video production and sport, particularly rugby league. My grand-daughter is the Australian Champion for Six and Under Jazz and Six and Under Tap dancing, so I have plenty of video work from her dance competitions. My grand-son plays indoor and outdoor soccer and cricket and I have lots of video of him.

My main concern with X2 Pro is there are very few menu templates in the software. With 11, I have many more templates, but I am having trouble copying them over. I know there was a topic on this in the Forum, but I cannot find it. Any comments would be appreciated.

Best Wishes,
Brian.

My X2 Pro has 95 templates! And each and every one of those are customizable, so you really have hundreds of options. Are you sure you have downloaded all the material?

If you really need more, below is a link to menu templates created by users:

Many thanks, Black Lab.

What can I say? You were right! I had failed to run two of the downloaded files!

Please, in future, if I make a request on the forum, make allowance for a doddering, old person.

Hello!

I am Amy Weaver. I am new here. I am also new or should I say, I have very little experience on taking videos and photos as I always request someone to do it for me.

With the current trends and the magic of taking pictures and videos, I kind of fascinated that I want also to learn a few tricks to making a nice video.

Now, I want not just pictures to document and keep memories alive. It is better to have them in videos.

I know and believe I will be learning so much through this forum.

Thanks and God bless.

Hi All,
My name is Patrick from Dublin , Ireland. Aged 62 retired. I have been using Videostudio for many years not without problems but generally successful. Upgraded recently to VS Pro X2. I have been lurking on the user forum site since I started using VS and picked up many useful tips. The ProX2 is giving me some problems which I hope the forum will be able to help with.
Thanks Steve for looking after my registration.

Hi my name is Graham and I spend six months living in London and six months in Coffs Harbour NSW Australia now that I have retired from dentistry.
I bought my first super 8 movie camera 36 years ago to shoot baby on the lawn stuff. I caught the movie bug and joined the Centre Film Unit (CFU) in Richmond South- West London where I learned the art of film making. The club made lots of sucessful films including a 10 best film "The Golden Medalion" on which I was the sound recordist. I along with several members from the club opened a sound dubbing studio in Barnes which operated for about 15 years. After opening this facility I did not made any further films.
I recently purchased a Canon HG 10 and decided to try film making again. I have a lot to learn about video editing however I am looking forward to the challenge.
