Hi, I'm James from Ontario, Canada.I have been using Ulead products ever since PhotoImpact 6 came out. I currently use Corel Videostudio 12pro to edit and burn my video projects and PhotoImpact 12 comes in handy to make bottom 3rds, masks, frames and stuff. I just recently discovered how nice some of the Digital Juice products fit in with Videostudio and have started to use some of the effects.
After my father died a few years ago I decided to make a video honoring him from some old films he had shot at various times throughout the years and received tremendous help from these forums from various folks and from reading a lot of the posts about video editing. It turned out well, I'm happy to say, and made a nice gift for the rest of the family and helped me to know my father better through the process. I have my own Sony video camera now and I'm trying new stuff like Chroma keying. I love to play around with that effect in Videostudio and I hope they make it better in future versions.
I'm 45 and I paint for a living- houses not portraits- and I live with my partner of 19 years, Joe. I'm always looking for something weird or special to shoot with my camcorder or something fun to edit. I hope I can help anyone else, too.

Introduction...don't know where to put it...

Post by JeromeBaylon »

Hello everyone, am a newbie in video editing, although i am in photography business, I'm trying to learn more about video editing to lessen my cost in hiring video editors coz aside from photography I also do videos on some events such as weddings. I first got into this Adobe premiere pro stuff but it gives me a lot of clicking and adjusting, a friend shared me this corel studio 12 and wow how easy things can be on this stuff, now I am using corel and it really ease me up on my works. Thanks and more power to Corel!

Hello,

My name is Jan and I'm an ex-engineer, now with my own small company in Denver. Currently living and working in SE Asia but commuting back and forth to Denver. I love hiking in summer and skiing in Winter, especially at Breckenridge.

I love taking photographs and videos of my trips, so I used VideoStudio to edit my videos.
Best Regards,
Jan Manzer

My name is Timothy and I live in Ontario, Canada. I am a retired teacher of 59 and live with my wife and Bull Terrier in the Niagara Peninsula. I recently purchased VideoStudio Pro X2 with a view to editing, improving and burning to DVD my hundreds of old VHS tapes. Although I have studied the manual, I'm not doing much right now as I need to buy a really good analog to digital video converter, which I am investigating in the Corel Forum. What little I am attempting though I will post about to the forum, and I am looking forward to learning and being a participant. Thanks!

My name is Charlotte and I live in Edinburgh. I am of retiral age and began video editing three years ago when I was given a camcorder for my 60th birthday! I am married with two adult sons and one grandson. I enjoy using my computer for photo editing - both still and DVD - as well as for publishing. I am a fairly computer literate user but not very confident technically as I am always fearful of harming the computer! For this reason I sometimes require technical help which is not always available from the support team at Corel.

Welcome to the forums Charlotte,

We're here because it is getting more and more difficult to get tech help from Corel or any product maker. As you've already done, just post your questions, and someone should be along with their possible solution.

Hi everyone. My name is Herb and I live in Wisconsin. I have been using VideoStudio off and on since VS 8. I usually have used it for DV capture and cutting commericals out of recorded shows.

I have lurked on the forums for quite a while but now have a question that I just cannot seem to find an answer to so it was time to sign up and ask the very helpful people here.

Just joined the forum and have already found some very useful information by searching past topics (so I haven't even made an initial post yet). Looking forward to learning more as I start to use Corel VideoStudio X2.

Hi everyone,

My name is Edna although my board name is eddiemae. I live in Dunedin in New Zealand. I am 62 years old and have been using PSP for about 10 years and PI for about 6 years. I belong to a PSP group (the best on the net) and 2 PI groups.

I like both programs and so I save everything in .psd format so that I can use whatever I create in both programs. I am a real fan of Gif Animator and am really sorry that it has been dropped. There is so much more you can do in GA.

I have one son how turned 29 this year and is in the last year of a PhD.

My interest lies mainly in animation and animation text effects for which I have written quite a few tutorials.

Summer here now so I am trying my hand at growing some salad veges.

Thanks foer letting me join this forum.
