Hi, I'm Andrew and I'm also new here.

I currently have the latest VideoStudio version, Corel Video Studio Pro X2, which I bought a few months ago. I've used it for a few videos and am still learning from it, but am quite happy with it so far.

I make videos mostly as a hobby, and recorded a cousin's wedding last weekend, so I'll be using it a lot!

I didn't realize that a post within 24 hrs. was a requisite of the forum. Now that I've been inlightened, here's the 24 hr post.

I'm an old paper artist, who discovered digital a few years back. I immediately developed a life-long love!

So, at this point, I check out what I can, learn what I can, and do alot of playing.

Cya,

A Digital Hello

Hi Everyone,

My name is Michele, I am thirtysomething, married and I have two children.

In 1995 I began to tinker around with graphics and web design programs. Later I came across a version of Paint Shop Pro that allowed me to work in layers, and since then I've never looked back. I always try to keep up with the current versions, and currently I am using Paint Shop Pro X2.

I enjoy helping others, and as always I am eager to learn new things. I'm sure this forum is the perfect community for me, and I am looking forward to being here.

I believe we all have something special to offer, and the most important thing is that we all have the ability to inspire others through our own talents, mediums, or experiences. It is an amazing chain reaction that something you do today could inspire someone on the other side of the world tomorrow.

Hey Everyone,

Real name Shane, currently 39 and I live on the East Coast of the UK in a part of the town Lowestoft called Oulton Broad.

Tinkered around with Video Editing many many years ago with the Matrox Rainbow Runner card which attached itself to the Mystic / Millenium Gfx Cards.

Since then I have always been interested in video editing though never having much time.

However I've now converted the Workshop in my 'Office/Studio' where I have my setup. I'll have to get some Pics up!

I have VideoStudio 11 Plus & Pro X2 and Paint Shop Pro X2.

Look forward to using the forum.

Love graphics design

Post by forevrknight »

I am using photoimpact and love it. I do websites and sometime produce my own graphics. I do need some pointers on the software and maybe I can share something that will help another. I also work in behavioral health care and always had a passion for helping others. :D

Hi all,

I've just got activated so I'm making my first post! I'm a PhD student at Nottingham, UK, studying medieval graffiti in Norwegian churches. I have a husband, a cat and arthritis. I've always wanted to play with moving pictures but video technology is only just starting to get light enough for me to manage. Now I'm in I'm making up for lost time and loving how easy and exciting digital video editing is!

I was given my Dad's old video camera for Christmas after he upgraded to hd, so I've been having a lot of fun with it :) I started out editing with windows movie maker, but started bumping into the edges of its capability so I poked about to find a program I got on with and soon found corel video studio, dowloaded the trial version and loved it, especially the tool for recording drawings. I have also joined a local history group which run classes in camcording, with the aim to produce dvds of local interest for the community, although it has had some problems getting off the ground as they have had very little luck finding a teacher so far! Most of what we have managed has been the group muddling through ourselves! After I found corel, I recommended the group should get it so we all have the same software and so far they seem to be enjoying it, although we've only just got our copies.

I have made several projects so far, simple outings, music and landscape, one of my husband's poems, which was a really fun project, and holidays. I am currently working on just over 6 hours of my Dad's footage of a holiday we took to Norway, which I offered to do for him as a Father's Day gift - he has so many holidays which he has not yet even begun to edit it will take him years to get through them! He is considering getting vs as well. I am also working on my own recent holiday to Oslo.

I do have a few questions I will be wanting to ask the group, as there are just one or two things I still don't fully understand from the manual, but I have managed to figure most of it out, it is a wonderfully intuitive bit of software, especially for someone used to movie maker, and I have also found the tutorials here very helpful.

Well, that's enough about me, I expect I'll be asking some questions soon!

Hi All,

I've just been activated so this is my fist post. Hopefully my account will not be deleted this time! :)

Anyway, I'm an account manager and I reside in New York City. I'm trying to get into editing videos, etc. I currently own the following Ulead/Corel software titles:

1) DVD MovieFactory 6 (received free when I purchased Coreldraw X4).
2) DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus (puchased before number 1),
3) Videostudio v11.5,
4) PhotoImpact X3, and
5) Paint Shop Pro X2, X1, X.

Hopefully this will be more than enough to accomplish what I hope to do with the video/photo editing features of the above software.

Well, off I go.

Thanks,
Rich

Introduce myself to other members.

Post by dsquared »

My name is Dave Dalglish. I originally joined this group on 9/30/07. The answers I received about VideoStudio 11 video editing techniques, as well as the excellent tutorials and forum quality, encouraged my to buy it (versus other programs). That was my first experience with a Video editor, and I have found it has all the capabilities and ease of use that I need.

After using it about a year or so, for various personal reasons, from about 7/08 on, I have not had the luxury of continuing a very major project I am working on, until now. So my account went inactive. But now I am continuing my project.

Thanks for reinstating me as a member. Since it is my bed time here in CO,U.S.A., tomorrow, I will post a short summary of my project status, and a question regarding synchronizing Overlay video tracks.

Thanks again. I look forward to participating in the forum. And I hope that I now know enough to contribute answers as well as receive them.

Visual Studio 8 problems

Post by robertbaer »

Problems:
1) Input volume setting *always* reset on program start; this is extremely irritating to say the least.
2) Input selection is always being reset to microphone (will not stay to Line); another PITA.
3) Recorded volume very poor, even if a) using mike in, b) mike boost used, ALL volume sliders set to *MAX*.
Please help.

** What is really "nice" is that Corel just does not support what they sell.
I have had that problem with every one of their products that have what i consider nasty bugs - bugs that should not have existed in the first place.
