I¡¦ve been involved with computers since ¡K.. Started out working with a Dec PDP 9 T (note the ¡§T¡¨ I think only 1 of 2) programming in machine language & building interface devices. Gradually progressed through many languages and computers. First home computer was the commodore Pet. Started taking movies when I was quite young using a 8mm windup camera. Progressed through a variety of movie cameras but was never really satisfied with results. And it was so difficult to edit movies, so I moved to 35 mm slides.
Retired from computer management 10 years ago and busier than ever.
Now take lots of pictures & a few short movies with digital camera. Been posting pictures to my web site & recently to Facebook. Started using Videostudio a few years ago to create holiday slide shows and now creating shows for others. VS is so great I¡¦m adding more movies to the slide shows. I still have a challenge with Photoimpact for creating special menus. It¡¦s just a matter of finding time to do everything. A pile of those old movies sit waiting for me. I don¡¦t seem to be able to work the long hours any more :(
I try to read the forum every day and answer in areas I¡¦m comfortable, but there are so many experts that this is usually not necessary.

Introducing myself ...

Post by garsdesem »

My name is Denis and I live in Quebec City.

I bought VideoStudio 11 because I had problems using Windows Movie Maker. It froze too often when working with a large video.

I like the way Videostudio works although I need to make french titles and I am not sure how I will succeed doing this as I found no solutions in the blog.

Hello: I've used Ulead VideoStudio since it's beginning versions.
Some have been very good; others have been terrible.
The current Version 11 falls somewhere in between.
I hope I can get some help on this board.
Thanks

Just a quick hello .
I have been using Paint Shop Pro since it was shareware.
Used it mostly for restoring older B&W Polaroids .

Thanks for a UseFul forum :-) It's not that often now a days that I find a forum where posters really try to answer questions like here. 2nd place after www.yamahapkowner.com, excellent work

Great tutorials section too, takes a long time to get through all but that is how it should be, because it is a big subject. I am sure that I will have to post soon...

Be patient guys, I will have used the search button first before I post

Hello,

Here an introduction from Holland.

I'm filming and editing for 10yrs. now. From the start I used Pinnacle DC10plus, and then Pinnacle 7 up to Pinnacle Studio 12 nowadays.

But as I am filming now with my Panasonic AVHDC SD5HC. Pinnacle 12 is very slow witrh editing HD. Of course your PC configuration must be upgraded up to Quadcore processor, 4Gb memory.
At that moment I bought Corel VideoStudio ProX2 and give it a try to edit with it. I love the program but it has not that much ability's as Pinnacle 12.

On my Dualcore PC it works fine and works fast.

So at this moment I have not that much experience with Corel VS ProX2.

What have I filmed at edited lately?
Of course my summer holiday's and some wedding situations. At this moment I'm very busy with filming and editing of new developped products at the company where I work. They are very pleased with the result and I certainly have to continue with it! That is,....they reward me with a brand new Quadcore PC...!!!

Also yearly activity's in my village I am hired for to film and edit.

Another hobby of me is developping websites. I have made some websites at this moment. I made a big website for the primary school in my village and some website for company's which hired me.

I work in Holland at a big American company as an ***. EHS&S manager.
