no audio when playing clip

I have videostudio version 7. I recently added another hard drive. Since then I am not able to hear audio when I play a clip. This is annoying as I usually edit one clip at a time. If I click on project I hear sound. Can anyone tell me the proper setting to enable the sound in clip playback.
