title clips freezing

I have been working with MediaStudio Pro 7 for several years and have never had this problem. I opened a .dvp for editing and some of the title clips are not working. It's a ten-minute video with lots of four- and five-second title clips identifying speakers, locations, and times. No animations or anything fancy.

I can't select the half-dozen "frozen" title clips and thus I can't move them or delete them. Some of the frozen title clips don't show in the preview, and others do.

I can find the frozen clips in the Project section of Production Library, and double-clicking locates them accurately on the timeline.

Here's the oddest thing -- I can drag a "good" title clip on top of one of the frozen clips. If the clip I dragged onto is one of the frozen clips that displays in the preview window, then both titles display. If the clip dragged onto is a non-displaying frozen clip, the clip I dragged doesn't display; it freezes, too.

This behavior seems to be confined to the V1 line. I have not been able to observe the behavior on other lines.

Did you generate the dvp yourself on the same machine?
