Ulead DVD Audio decoder

Post by duckrogers »

Since intalling MF, audio doesn't properly play (bizarre distortion) some mpg's in Windows Media Player.
But if I uninstall MF, the again play fine.
What's the deal?

I also just noticed when this is installed explorer keeps crashing when trying to view thumbnails of videos.

duckrogers,

If you mean what I call the Beta version of MF4, that has been out for several weeks and has been the subject of many complaints in this forum. Hopefully, Ulead is in the process of preparing a proper distribution version at the moment and will make a free update available shortly.

If you are using an non-trial version of Ulead products, the problem should be disappeared.

This is because when Windows Media Player plays the video file, it will try to use the latest installed codec to play the file. And if the codec is a trial version, when it expired it will mute the audio. This will not only happen in Ulead but also in some other trial codecs.

BTW, you can get the trial version of DVDMF4 now in http://www.ulead.com/dmf/trial.htm

Hope this helps.
