Burning certain AVI files...

Hi guys...
Im having trouble burning certain AVI files. Some AVI's you download, you can only hear the sound by using the VLC player. When it comes to burning the files there is no sound. I really dont know why this occurs on some files and not others, its wierd!
Just wondering if any1 knows why or can point me in the direction of overcoming this problem???

The term AVI is not very descriptive at all. It's like describing the contents of a bucket with "it's a bucket". Where did these AVI files come from? What do they contain? DivX? Xvid? Mpeg4? DV? Uncompressed video?

I hazard a guess that these contain a mix of highly compressed formats and, hence, behave differently depending on the actual format.
