PhotoImpact 8.0 suddenly crashing

A couple of days ago it was fine, but now every time I try and open an image (any image) in PI 8, the program crashes. "PhotoImpact has encountered a problem and needs to close..." yadda, yadda, yadda.....
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, updating with the latest patch... but still get the same problem.
Any suggestions?

I wish I could help. I'm also having the same problem, but only when I click on Web/Component Designer.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated!

Buy Adobe products, they seem to work! Ihave waited two weeks for a reply from ulead about the program being unuseable ( pi 10) their back up is NILL

Do you have any softwares installed recently? As I know, the MSN Messenger plug-in MSN Shell might cause this problem.
