help!! capturing at only 1 frame per second!!

When capturing video from my dv camera , I noticed I am only capturing the video at 1 frame per second.. I know there has to be an easy explanation for this..I have checked my seting a hundred times litterally and still I get the super fast playback .I capture just fine with Windows Movie Maker but I would like to capture correct on my MSP8 .

My project setting are standard DV...the first option it's the first option it gives you in the Project Setting menu which is DV( NTSC drop frame 29.97 fps Audio 48khz) Thankyou:)
