Third Party Transitions

Post by sbiller1 »

Does anyone have VideoFX Transitions working under VS10 or VS11? I'm going to add the free Burger transitions but want a lot more.

Looking at their website http://www.canopus.com/products/VideoFX/index.php#
it looks like they have a lot of cool transitions for $49.95 US. Their site lists compatibility with VS5-7.

TIA,
Sam

I have it and it works fine in VS9 and 10, as long as you have the plug-in. If you buy the effects from Canopus, make sure you ask for the relevant plug-in for VS. And yes, I think the transitions are (mostly) interesting and well executed.

I have not yet tried it on VS11+...

Thanks for the quick reply. Are there any other 3rd party effects that you would recommend I check out? I use VS11 for photo/video montages and the effects really enhance the slide show.

Looks like I was able to sign-up for a free account and download a trial pack of their transitions. I'll let you know if I can get it working with VS11.

I also use a couple of sets of the Adorage transitions, and also find them good. They can be found at http://www.heroglyph.com/

Trial transitions appear to be in a format .FBP that VS doesn't recognize. I'll wait to see if they respond to my email before I decide to purchase.

As I said, you have to have the special plug-in for VS...
