Trial 10 and 11 won't load

I'm running a dualcore athlon with XP. I downloaded VS 10 and VS 11 with exactly the same result. In each case the software downloads properly and installs properly but when I go to load it, it will start up, ask me which program I want to run and when I click VS it appears to start to load. Then nothing.

I just tried reinstalling VS 10 again but but trial period is up.

I also noticed that when I had either program installed, my media program Divx Lunacy wouldn't run properly. Once VS was uninstalled, it worked properly again.

I'm thinking of buying the product, but don't feel very comfortable based on my trial experience.

Any ideas?
