Help, Initial Video I/O CRASH

Well, The GifAnimator stops on the loading screen at ( Intitial video I/O... )
And then widows throws this error,
Ulead GIF Animator has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
EDIT: I have found another thread here, that says the 3ivx codec can cause this, and I happen to have it

So I will try to uninstall this first and see if it fixes anything

OK THAT FIXED IT.. But is there a patch or a work around for this, So I can have the 3ivx codec and run GifAnimator?

Solution or Workaround:

Delete or rename uvavi.vio file in the "<Program Install Path>\VIO" folder.

However, features related to AVI file would be lost.
