Updates

Will all the updates from VS8 be part of VS9?

The reason for this question is, I'd like to uninstall VS8 and reinstall it in another hard drive once I order/receive VS9. I don't exactly want to download all the updates again.

Hi,

My guess is no, but you should be able to copy all the updates to a disc and install VS8 and updates to a different machine fairly easily.

It is always a good idea to make copies of all the patches and downloads on CD so you can reload them more easily -- this is especially true if you use ESD (Electronic Software Download). Element5 will only let you access ESD software for a limited time, and charge you extra for an extended download period.

Personally, I don't want to have to pay twice for the same software...
