Install PI 11
Install PI 11
I have just purchsed a new computer and want to install PI 11 from the hard disk I purchased. What do I need? The disk has a Reference # so I'm wondering I need any other number or identification? Thanks! Pat

By Hard Disk you're referring to a CD correct? You should have a serial number that is generally on the outside of the sleeve containing the CD. You will need the serial number. Also if it was an upgrade you may need the serial number of version you upgraded from.
Next question is what version of Windows does your new machine run? If it is Vista, then VS11 will not work. You could try to install and run it using Vista Compatibility Mode. There is reportedly so much that has changed with Vista, that more likely then naught, VS11 will not work properly.

PI 11 reinstall
Thanks for the information Vidoman. Yes, I was referring to a CD which I purchased a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, I didn¡¦t save the CD sleeve but when I open my PI 11 and go to the ¡§about PhotoImpact¡¨ section under help, a serial # appears. So, I guess I¡¦m O.K. I shouldn't need anything else?
My new machine will have XP - I'm avoiding Vista for the time being.

Smart move patmart, no rush to get the WOW experience here neither (wow, why the f**k does my mpeg4 movie not play and GifAnimator doesn't work either)
I quote from the ULEAD web site
Another smart move, if you haven't done so already, is to register your program on the Ulead website. That way you will always have your serial number handy even if you HDD snuffs it and the CD is broken. Your serial number would be all you need to install an upgrade to PI 11 to a new computer or HDD.*Photo Explorer, GIF Animator and COOL 360 are not Vista supported.
