Hi everyone, thought I was doing fairly well w/my MF4, nice GUID and all, but as perhaps common, failed burns are about as much as successful ( disc and OEM DVD drive issues).
Anyway, I just noticed an old file (don't recall what it's context is) that I'm thinking I failed to burn and I don't know how/what to do w/it so's to view and burn it.
Suspect it was/is a string of wmv's I wanted to burn to VCD.
Running MF4SE software that came w/my external burner. And it didn't include stuff like DVD DiskRecorder, Quick-Drop, Disc Creator w/Tweak and Fit, Label@Once, etc.
Tried opening the critter w/MF4 but prompt says 'file format is not supported'.
Help appreciated.

Hi,
Your using an oem software. I think oem's have some limitations compared to full versions.. Anyway, "file format not supported" means that there is no available codec for that video format that can be used by MF4. Patches won't apply to oem's and se's. I suggest you try to download codec packs.
Please do reply if you still encounter this problem.
Hope this could help. =)

I think that's an actual IMAGE file ready for burning to disc (could be a VCD or SVCD image).
You could try downloading the latest trial of MovieFactory, and then check its tools to burn the IMAGE file. You might also find some useful features in the latest version during the Trial period...

George
