Runtime Error - Abnormal Program Termination

Whenever I exit WinDVD 8, I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library message: Runtime Error, Abnormal Program Termination.

I don't know why this message suddenly started showing up and what exactly I can do about it. It doesn't seem to interfere with the operation of the program itself, it's just annoying. But maybe it's a portend of future trouble, I'm not sure.

Does anyone know what this exactly means and what I can do to clear it up? Anybody else have this symptom?
