BUG VS 11 CRASHES when you select auto detect chapters
have noticed that when you create a DISC and select the AUTO DETECT chapters that VS11 shutsdown.

I have already used that feature without any problem with VS11+ running on Vista Home Premium. To be a bug, a problem has to be replicable.
To test it once again, I have just inserted a DVD compliant mpeg-2 into the burning module (after using Share > Create Disc). I selected Add/Edit chapters, then on the next page which appeared, I selected Auto Add Chapters. I selected 1 minute intervals, and the program auto added the chapters at every minute. I clicked OK and went on to build the menu. All appeared normal in the Preview.
Was there anything particular about the video you used? What were its properties? Or did you insert your project into the burning module? Had you already inserted chapter points during the editing phase?

Have same problem but already have latest Direct X for Vista
I have this same problem but there is no way to update the Direct X in Vista beyond what it already has. I have auto updates checked so should have the latest updates, and the updates for Version 9 at the MS site will not work or install on Vista. I could find no place to download a Direct X 10 at the MS site.
The problem can be replicated and happens every time I try to make a disk...or preview...or add chapters, exactly as the other poster had.

Thank you for help!
I have run into the same problem and just have had it solved by downloading and installing DirectX9 to my Windows XP SP2 Home. Now I can add chapters. Thank you for sound advice.
