Need help with fire particle

I am using the fire particle to create a "burning background", but can't get the first five frames to match the rest of the project? It seems the fire wants to "start", rather than be a consistent flame. There are so many adjustments that I can't determine which one effects the first few flames so as to be a "consistent burn" throughout the project.

Any help is certainly appreciated.
