Filter Help (CROPPING)

Post by Ray Musicbear »

Does anyone know if there is any area on the ULEAD web site, where I might get some help on using their filters?

Some of them seem a bit complicated.

For instance, I was trying to crop my video using the filter provided for cropping. The area I was cropping kept moving. There didn't seem to be any way to stop the motion. I tried checking the "stationary" option box, but that didn't do much good either.

Thanks for any replies.

Hi Ray --

You may be doing something I've never done, or you may simply be using different language. When you say "cropping," do you mean just cutting out parts of a video you don't need?

IF SO, why don't you just "cut" (with the scissors) on either side of a segment you want to get rid of, right-click on that segment, and "delete"?

If I'm completely off-topic, then let's have a little more detail. I noticed you had no responses.

Ray,
You are not setting the keys for the beginning and end. Make sure you set your desired values for first frame, then click on red diamond on the timeline. Now, jog to the end frame and change your values here as well and click on the red diamond again. Depending on what you need, make sure to either check or uncheck the stationary box. That's it.

Here's a tutorial for VS7:

Hi,

The easiest way I've found to work with the key frames is to copy the first keyframe and paste it (or better said, it's attributes) to the last keyframe.

Thanks everyone, that sure is easy!

I guess I just get too worked up over some of these things when they don't go right for me the first time...

I wish it was easier to find information on the Ulead Web site then it is;
I could not find any help on filters...

BTW, this does work on Video as well as still shots, doesn't it?

Thanks again!
