Add transition effects

Hello,

I'm trying to add the same effect (and its parameters) between all the photos and videos of the film i want to create.

When i try to tick the "use the default transition effect" box in the preferences, it doesn't work and anyway i can't add the parameters.

Could you help me ?

P.S. I use the French version, maybe the terms are not exactly the same, anyway i guess you should understand !

Hi

From File-Preferences-General tab Tick- Use Default Transition Effect
Select one Default Transition Effect from the drop down box.

From File-Preferences-Edit tab-Select the Default Transition Effect Duration

The transition will be applied each time you insert a video or image clip to the main video timeline.

Existing clips will require a manual approach.

Double clicking a transition in the library will insert the transition to the first available space.
Otherwise drag and drop the transition.

I believe v11 allows you to automatically add a transition(s) to an existing project.

Thanks for the info, now that¡¦s a good improvement, wonder if you can pre-select a range to use or just the selected one?

I think I may have to run the TBYB

Anyway if the OP replies, he/she may indicate which version they are using.
