Volume Levels...............Again!

Post by n3vpc »

Hi!

I just finished reading a “search” post on this subject and an answer posted by Ken Berry on Monday May 28.

My question is after a video has been edited and ready to be burned to DVD Disk; is there a way to increase the volume level across the board on the project rather than by individual clip as Ken suggests?

By that I mean; can you change the over all volume level of the entire project all at once?

Another issue that I cannot seem to control is the volume level at the “Menu” stage of building a DVD. Whether I use the default background music or one of my own choosing, the volume level is considerably higher for this part. Usually much louder than the DVD itself; is there a way to “tone” it down a bit more closely to the projects level? Using the “Normalize Audio” option at burning does not help this situation.

Any help please?

You could create a sound file (Share > Create Sound File), adjust the volume to your liking, then replace the audio in your project with the newly created sound file.

Also, after you edit your video, you save it as a VSP. Start a new project, and Insert that VSP into the timeline. Now you can adjust the volume of the entire VSP "clip".

As for the menu music, I don't see any way to adjust the volume (using v10+). I think your only option may be to render a music file to the volume of your liking, then choose that as your menu music.
