I can't seem to get the Trial Version to import HDV on Vista. I have read in another thread that the retail version fixes this.
Before I upgrade to VS11+ I would like to know:
1. When importing HDV video, does VS11+ retain the date and time of each clip? I would like to be able to look at the properties for the clip and be able to see the date and time the clip was shot.
2. Will it use scene detection to identify/split each clip so I don't have to do it manually.
I am assuming yes on the second question, but I would like to confirm.
Does VS11+ Retain the Date and Split Clips when Importing HD

The trial version should capture, it's a TBYB (try before you buy), if you activate it then ulead will provide a link to the extra content. I wouldn't activate it though, buy the ESD or full download/Retail box version.I can't seem to get the Trial Version to import HDV on Vista. Basically no, only if you insert the clip into the Library and use the data reported in the library. Before I upgrade to VS11+ I would like to know:

No, it does not split the files while capturing. Will it use scene detection to identify/split each clip so I don't have to do it manually. I am assuming yes on the second question, but I would like to confirm.
