Apologies if this question has been answered before. Have done a search and could not see the question.
Have been using trial version of Video Studio 11 and have found it quite impressive (I have been using Roxio MyDVD up to now). Have now purchased the programme on a disc and wondered if I need to uninstall the trial. If so do I need to do a full uninstall following the very comprehensive directions posted on this forum, or would a normal Remove programme via windows be OK.
I have asked customer services this, but they have not replied. Regards. Krystyna
Is it necessary to Uninstall trial version of VS11
Moderator: Ken Berry
Do a standard uninstall via the Windows Control panel.
The complete instructions are for people that have problems and need to remove as much things as possible (but not all, some things remain there forever because they are purposedly not documented) to avoid conflicts.
It makes no sense at all if you reinstall everything afterwards...

This my understanding of it.
I have been proven wrong on several occasions in my life. It's not going to improve.

I am glad it is not necessary to do a clean uninstall of the trial before installing from the disc. Am looking forward to getting to grips with everything VS11 can do. It is a much better editing programme than the Roxio MyDVD 6 that I have been using with my DVD camcorder. Reading previous posts in the forum has been very helpful. Many thanks. Krystyna
