How to Reposition Image?

Post by johnnyelectron »

I have imported my image files (jpeg) but they are all centered on the screen (portraits that are the entire screen height, but only 1/3 width). How can I 'move' them to the far left and/or far right side?
Thanks,
Newbie John

Which version of VS are you using?

Try putting them on one of the OVERLAY tracks (instead of the main track)

Hi John

Using the ¡¥distort¡¦ function (VS 9 onwards) will allow you to reposition the Video or Image clips.
(Edit ¡V Clip Mode- Attribute Tab.)
Drag with the mouse, use arrow keys for fine adjustment.
With the Distort function active you can see the Yellow distort handles. Right click the preview screen for more options.

In the same way, you could also use the overlay track (most versions) to reposition / resize your clips.

If you are using version 10 there are 5/6 overlay tracks you can use.

Using the overlay track, you can adjust the first image then copy and paste the attributes to the other clips. (can be useful)
