The VS 11 Plus Full Feature PDF indicates that 3GPP is a supported output format. However it doesn't appear that the trial version will output to this format. Is the 3GPP output format available in the non-trial version?
I was also unable to find the MPEG Optimizer in the trial version. Is that something that is also only available in the non-trial version?
Are there other features and options are disabled or missing from the trial version as opposed to the non-trial version?

I have just checked my full version of VS11+, and also cannot find any way to convert to 3GPP format either. Indeed a quick look at the help files didn't show any reference to that format, though it may be there if I spent more time looking. (Edit: I have just done a search of the VS11 Manual, and it is also not mentioned in that -- I have it in electronic PDF format and it does not show up using Find in Adobe...)
However, I would not have expected to find 3GPP in my VS11+ because I have not installed a 3GPP codec on my computer, having no need for that format. VS11 does not itself install the codec, just as it does not install other codecs such as DivX or XVid, though it can handle those too if the codec is otherwise installed.
If indeed you do have the 3GPP codec installed, where did you look for it? My first inclination was to look in Share > Create Video File, but on reflection, I think it is more likely to appear in Share > Export to Mobile Device...
As for the mpeg optimizer, again I have had no cause to use it. I had, indeed, thought its use was limited to users who have HD cameras, but I could be wrong. At any rate, with a DVD compatible mpeg-2 in my timeline, going to Share > Create Video File shows 'mpeg optimizer' third from the top of the pop-up menu, though in my case, it is greyed out -- though as I say, I suspect that is because I do not have HD video in the timeline. (Edit: I just inserted a HD clip in the timeline, and in Share > Create Video File, MPEG Optimizer is now active.)(Further Edit: looking at the Manual pp. 108-109, I see that the Optimizer is supposed to work with all mpegs, and not just HD. However, I tried again to get the thing active with a standard mpeg-2, but again it refused, only seeming to work when I insert HD clips in the timeline... Maybe someone else can help on this one.)
As for your general question about what might be missing from the trial version, I am not sure that any of us here actually knows. We are, after all, only users. Only Corel/Ulead could say for certain. In the past, though, as far as I am aware, all the main functions are there in the trial versions. It is only things like the number of menu templates, and certain transitions (and the Help file) which are omitted from the trial version. But I could, of course, be wrong.
