I would like to know if is it possible, with MediaStudio Pro to capture NTSC video from a DVD, then convert and render the video to PAL format?
If so, what would be the procedure to do it?
I also have DVD Moviefactory 5 plus.
Thanks!
Convert NTSC to PAL?
It's possible, with a drop in quality, but why bother when PAL DVD players accept NTSC DVDs?

Even my most ancient PAL DVD player accepts NTSC DVD-Rs (DVD+Rs weren't invented when it was made, so it doesn't accept even PAL ones!). However, if it's a commercial DVD, watch out for regional coding. Most PAL players are preset for Region 2, while N. America is Region 1. It is possible to hack most players as non-regional: more difficult with computer DVD drives.

Computer playback should be fine (PAL or NTSC). The problem might be the DVD Player -- but as Devil mentioned -- most PAL DVD Players will play NTSC DVD's.Ormond Williams wrote:Thanks Devil!
At this time I don't have any NTSC dvd's to test, but am looking at getting a couple. If they play OK on a computer, all will be well.
Regards,
George
